There are two main types of thermoforming processes: vacuum forming and pressure forming. In vacuum forming, the heated plastic sheet is pressed against a mold and drawn into the mold by a vacuum. In pressure molding, on the other hand, the plastic is pressed into the mold using compressed air. Both methods have their specific applications and advantages.
